If At First You Don’t…
The New Republic tries again
This is not the first time I’ve subscribed to The New Republic. It’s at least the fourth. It changed over the years.  I changed. I forgot to send in my money. It came to seem irrelevant. I got too many other magazines. I lost interest in politics. All sorts of reasons why I let it stop coming. Then I’d get an impulse to try it again.

I’m a couple months into the most recent impulse. The newest reincarnation of the magazine, fueled by the money of Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, comes every two weeks and I like it when it does.  I was disappointed when Monday came yesterday and I realized it was another week till the next issue. So far, so good. Better than that, actually.
