The piece below is in The Guardian this morning. I read Janet Malcolm in The New Yorker. I read her two books about Freud and psychoanalysis twice. Her father had been a psychoanalyst. She was always knife-sharp. I read something about her once that implied she lived near where I do. On my walks around here I hoped I’d see her.
