Author Robert Caro on His Writing Process and Biographies of LBJ and Robert Moses (This was on C-SPAN last night. Wonderful.) He’s 90.

Robert Caro, who was working on the final book of his five-volume biography of President Lyndon Johnson, offered a tour of his New York City office and home library.

Madonna, I think, on a restaurant I walk by every morning on Irving Place.

FRAN LEBOWITZ

Last year, we asked Fran Lebowitz to weigh in on the concept of now. But that was then, and this is … a newer and (even) more fraught moment. So we asked for her appraisal on the current state of affairs: what’s changed, what hasn’t, and why revenge is best served when it doesn’t destroy the foundations of Western democracy..
