A WONDERFUL PIECE I READ JUST NOW on a daily online site called Literary Hub (lithub.com). It’s a celebration of bookstores reopening in Europe. https://lithium.com/in-celebration-of-bookstores-reopening-2/

Magazines are still an excitement to get in the mail. ‘New York Magazine’ is as exciting as any. I was disappointed when it stopped being a weekly and started coming every two weeks a few years ago. It may be my favorite magazine. It’s cool-looking. Strong, fearless writers. Same with its photographers. Like this Q&A with John Lewis. You can find it online. You’ll see they have a great website.

What can I add? Maybe just suggest this book. I haven’t read all the essays. It’s 800 pages. It’s part of the Library of America series. If you call in an order to your bookstore, tell them that, so you’ll get the right book. You can find it online too, I would think. Calling a bookstore is more fun though. If you don’t have a favorite store, you can call one anywhere. They’ll send you what you want.

A recently-found story by Ernest Hemingway that’s in the newest ‘New Yorker’. I read it in the middle of the night last night when I woke up and could tell I wouldn’t get right back to sleep.
