At the just-opened exhibit at the Morgan Library which I went to today I liked the wide deep margins on the pages of Ulysses in the book published in 1922 in Paris. (That’s my shadow marring its beauty.)

Some remarks by Michael Bloomberg at the dedication of the library he created in his parents’ name in Medford, Massachusetts where he was raised:
‘Growing up, the Medford Public Library was so much more than a building with books. It was a space to learn, and to expand our horizons, and to dream. It means so much to my family that we were able to dedicate that institution to my parents today.
Let's not forget: Right now, America's libraries are under attack from self-appointed censors who want to ban books that explore history, race, and gender and identity. That kind of censorship is deeply troubling, because it diminishes the freedom and opportunity that have always defined the mission of libraries, and it diminishes our country's highest ideals, which brought our family here more than a century ago.’

New York City’s mayor Eric Adams struggled with reading and school. He was dyslexic, but didn't realize that until he was in college. He’s setting up a screening program in the city schools so young kids with such struggles can get help. Below is a link I found online that lists other famous people who were/are dyslexic. I also posted a short animated video that explains dyslexia.
